Mirco Risi and Maria Ermatchkova split

Mirco Risi and Maria Ermatchkova would like to announce the end of their partnership. They danced together for 8 years representing Italy till 2013 and then England. In 2014 Mirco and Maria began their Professional career winning the Professional Rising Star Latin championships in Blackpool. Their last competition together was UK Open in January where they got to the semi final in Professional Latin. See more results and photo gallery.
They wrote: It has been an amazing and successful journey full of emotions, sacrifices,up and downs, hard work and great achievements during these 8 years.
The 2014 was especially successful for us. We have become Blackpool Rising Stars Professional Champions and top 10 Professional couple in all major competitions.
We would like to take this opportunity to say Huge Thank You to our teachers who shared their great experiences and always believed in us, our Families who were always there for us in a good times and bad times, our dearest Friends who shared each moment of this adventurous journey and were actually our second Family during these years!
We want to Thank each other for being always a great and supportive team through these years. Without each other we wouldn't become who we are today.
